    South Australia is home to world-class research capability and globally recognised innovation places, which offer opportunities to enhance collaboration across all sectors of the economy.

    To solve complex problems, create new products and services, access new markets and increase productivity, researchers and industry need access to world-class and affordable research infrastructure and equipment.

    Artificial intelligence and data

    South Australia’s collaborative ecosystem brings together dominant data and artificial intelligence capabilities as the foundational building blocks for emerging cyber security, AI and data analytics knowledge generation and commercialisation. This powers transformative digital technologies across industry sectors.

    Recognising the rise of artificial intelligence, the South Australian Government was the first state in Australia to appoint an Assistant Minister for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, Defence and Space Industries. The Minister is tasked with securing South Australia’s position in the global race to scale-up and adopt artificial intelligence.
