    Defence Supplier Uplift Program

    The South Australian Government is partnering with industry to deliver the Defence Supplier Uplift Program.

    This initiative is designed to strengthen South Australia’s position in global defence supply chains by helping local businesses improve capability, achieve qualification, and compete for major defence opportunities.

    While continuing to support submarine and naval shipbuilding opportunities, the program provides access to a wider range of qualification pathways across the defence sector, increasing participation and opportunity both nationally and internationally.

    The program supports South Australian businesses to participate in key qualification programs, including:

    • Australian Submarine Supplier Qualification (AUSSQ) Program
    • Defence Industry Vendor Qualification (DIVQ) Program
    • ASC and BAE Systems Supply Chain Qualification Programs
    • And other qualification pathways across the defence sector.

    Program objectives

    The program aims to help South Australian suppliers join major defence supply chains and compete both nationally and internationally.

    Key objectives include:

    • Accelerating supplier qualification and readiness
    • Increasing participation in advanced defence manufacturing and sustainment
    • Building capability in critical defence sectors
    • Strengthening international supply chain connections
    • Delivering strong commercial outcomes for South Australian businesses.

    Program timelines

    Applications are open and must be submitted online during the application period.

    All applications are assessed on merit. Submitting an application, including an endorsed Uplift Plan, does not guarantee funding.

    Applicants must provide supporting documents as outlined in the Applicant Guidelines.
