    Get the skills you need to find work in mining, manufacturing, construction, energy and heavy industry supply chains

    HIMS Program

    This 15-week program is a one-of-kind opportunity to gain accredited and non-accredited training, practical skills, industry mentoring, and job search counselling from professionals who will help you start your career in heavy industry.

    Job seekers who successfully complete the course will have the skills required to commence entry-level positions including labourers, operators, apprenticeships, traineeships and trades assistants.

    Gain a range of skills and knowledge you need to start work:

    • Practical skills such as Working Safely at Heights, Working in Confined Spaces, Welding, WHS, Forklift, how to use hand and power tools
    • Literacy and numeracy foundation skills
    • Preparation for work
    • CV, letters of application, job interview skills
    • Communication and teamwork skills
