    2025 Innovation Leaders Network SouthStart Ticket Giveaway

    Terms and Conditions

    By participating in the 2025 Innovation Leaders Network SouthStart Ticket Giveaway (“Promotion”) held:

    • by the Department of State Development ABN 83 524 915 929 (“Promoter”); and
    • from 14 to 24 February 2025 (“Promotion Period”),

    You (“the Entrant”) agree to the following terms and conditions:

    1. Eligible Entrants

    To be eligible to enter the Promotion, the Entrant must:

    • be a natural person;
    • be ordinarily resident in South Australia;
    • be over eighteen (18) years old;
    • have attended an Innovation Leaders Network (“ILN”) event in 2024;
    • be a founder or employee of a startup or scaleup company;
    • not be employed by the Promoter, or be an Immediate Family Member of a person employed by the Promoter; and
    • not be employed by SouthStart, or be an Immediate Family Member of a person employed by SouthStart.

    2. Entry Mechanism

    Each eligible Entrant is entitled to one (1) entry. Multiple entries from the same Entrant may be disqualified in their entirety by the Promoter.

    To enter the Promotion, an eligible Entrant must:

    • meet the eligibility criteria set out in clause 1;
    • submit an Innovation Leaders Network 2024 Survey (“the Survey”) during the Promotion Period; and
    • have registered for, and be in attendance at, the ILN Showcase Event scheduled to be held on 25 February 2025 at the Exhibition Hall, National Wine Centre, Corner North Terrace and Hackney Road, Adelaide SA (“ILN Showcase Event”).

    3. Prize(s)

    • The prize pool consists of two (2) 2025 SouthStart FESTIVAL 2 DAY PASS tickets for SouthStart 2025 scheduled to be held on 4 to 6 March 2025. Each ticket is offered as an individual “Prize”.
    • Each Prize has a value of approximately $655 AUD. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the Prize or its value.
    • There will be a maximum of one (1) Prize per eligible Entrant.
    • The Entrant cannot exchange or redeem their Prize for cash or currency equivalent.
    • The Promoter will not reimburse or replace the Prize if the event to which it relates is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason.

    4. Date and Manner of Draw

    • The Promotion will be drawn physically at random by lots during the ILN Showcase Event on 25 February 2025 between 4.30pm – 6.30pm (ACDT) (“Draw Date”) by any person nominated by the Promoter; and
    • The submission of the Survey and registration for the ILN Showcase Event in accordance with clause 2.2 by an Entrant gives rise to an equal opportunity of winning a Prize.

    5. Notification of Winners and Delivery of Prize

    • Each winning Entrant will be notified on the Draw Date of their win at the time their lot is physically drawn.
    • The Prize will be delivered to the winning Entrant by email to the email address nominated by the winning Entrant to the Promoter as part of their submission of the Survey.
    • A list of the drawn Prizes and winning Entrants will be displayed for at least seven (7) days at the offices of the Promoter at Level 4, 11 Waymouth Street, Adelaide SA 5000.

    6. Unclaimed Prizes

    • A winning Entrant must claim the Prize immediately upon their entry being physically drawn.
    • If a winning Entrant does not immediately claim the Prize upon their entry being physically drawn, the Promoter will deliver the Prize within seven (7) days to the email address nominated by the winning Entrant to the Promoter as part of the Survey.

    7. No Liability

    The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Promotion at its absolute discretion and is not liable to any Entrant in relation to such cancellation.

    To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any injury, damages, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or inconsequential) or any additional costs or expense to any persons or property as a result of:

    • an Entrant entering into the Promotion, attending the ILN Showcase Event (including any variations to the date and time of that event of the Draw Date) or accepting or using the Prize; or
    • any lost, late or invalid entries; or
    • any failure or inability by the Promoter to contact a winning Entrant.

    8. Other Ancillary Terms

    Entrants agree to the Promoter collecting and using personal information disclosed to it (or its nominees) by way of the Survey, Promotion or the ILN Showcase Event in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.

    The Promoter reserves the right to request winning Entrants verify their identity or validity of their entry before awarding any Prize.

    If:

    • an entry is unable to be verified to the Promoter’s satisfaction; or
    • a Prize is not claimed or unable to be delivered,

    within five (5) days of the Draw Date, the Prize is deemed to be forfeited and will be awarded to any eligible Entrant determined randomly by the method prescribed in clause 4 in the Draw.

    The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. If any changes are made the Promoter will notify ILN Showcase Event registrants via email.

    The Promoter’s decision in all things relating to the Promotion is final and no reasons will be provided.

    9. Definitions

    Entrant means the person who enters into the Promotion in accordance with clause 2.2;

    Immediate Family Member means any child, stepchild, grandchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, spouse, former spouse, sibling, niece, nephew, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law (including adoptive relationships) of the person, and includes any other person sharing the person’s household; and

    SouthStart means SouthStart Pty Ltd and its related bodies corporate.
