    Go2Gov Program

    Supporting high-growth potential businesses with an innovative solution and the capacity to scale into local and global markets

    The Go2Gov Program supports high-growth potential businesses to partner with a South Australian Government Agency as a first or reference customer. Grant funding is available to enable businesses to validate their innovative product or service (Solution) through a real-life trial and co-design process, with the participating Government Agency.

    High-growth potential businesses are invited to submit an Application through the Unmatched Solution Testing Pathway that addresses a public sector Challenge and confirms the interest of a South Australian Government Agency to test the Solution.

    A successful Proof-of-Concept, demonstrating feasibility and improved service outcomes may lead to a direct procurement by the participating South Australian Government Agency for a period of up to three years.

    Applications must demonstrate that the Solution is clearly differentiated from what is already available in the market and has the potential to scale and target markets beyond South Australia. The business must have the ability to access the resources required to deliver the Solution and demonstrate capacity to create jobs and wider benefits to South Australia.

    Go2Gov eligibility criteria

    The Go2Gov Program may provide grant funding of up to $200,000 and is open to high-growth potential businesses that:

    • have the support of a participating South Australian Government Agency
    • have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) headquartered in South Australia
    • and are one of the following entities:
      (a) a company incorporated in Australia
      (b) an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust
      (c) an individual or partnership, providing there is an agreement to form a company incorporated in Australia (and headquartered in South Australia)
    • have revenue (including revenue of any Related Bodies Corporate) less than $10 million for the previous financial year
    • are registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST)
    • are less than seven (7) years old.

    Examples of projects previously funded under Go2Gov – Program include:

    • Personify Care completing a trial with the Central Adelaide Health Network (CALHN) for their easy-to-use mobile platform that helps hospital staff convert their existing clinical and administrative protocols into digital patient pathways.
    • BeWellCo collaborating with the Department for Correctional Services to develop a mobile application to delivery their mental health and wellbeing program to the Correctional Services workforce.

    Research and Innovation Fund

    The Go2Gov Program is part of the South Australian Government’s Research and Innovation Fund (RIF), which exists to enable greater collaboration between research and industry to deliver widespread economic benefit for our state.

    Through the RIF, our department can leverage state, Australian Government and private investment to support industry and research projects, events, and other initiatives designed to increase South Australia’s research and innovation capabilities.
