    SA’s exports hit record high to the US

    South Australia’s exports to the United States continue to rise, with a new record high of $2.49 billion to September 2025, up more than $352 million and 16 per% on the previous year.

    South Australia’s second largest export market behind China, the United States is the third top destination for South Australian wine, with exports up nine per cent on the previous year, valued at $139 million. China remains the top export destination for wine, up 48% to $705.3 million.

    Meat exports (beef, sheep, goat and others), accounted for 31% of South Australia’s exports to the United States, with beef exports increasing 92.4% to $476.3 million and 3,485 tonnes exported from South Australia in the month of September 2025.

    The South Australian Government recently led a trade mission to the United States and Canada, focused on building the state’s industrial base to support South Australian industry to take advantage of AUKUS opportunities.

    Sales to Canada have risen by more than $58 million and 12% to $528 million.

    The South Australian Government has offices in New York, Houston, Washington DC and San Francisco to support South Australian exporters entering the market.
