South Australian businesses are encouraged to nominate for this year’s Premier’s Business & Export Awards to celebrate their achievements and contribution to the state.
As South Australia continues to ‘lead the way’, recording the highest above-trend economic performance in the country, as reported in the ANZ’s Stateometer Report, the awards aim to shine a light on the businesses and exporters contributing to the delivery of significant economic benefits in South Australia.
Delivered in partnership with the South Australian Business Chamber, the awards feature 13 business award categories and 13 export award categories and are free to enter.
All those nominated will be eligible for the prestigious South Australian Business of the Year Award and the South Australian Exporter of the Year Award, which will be presented at an exclusive awards dinner at Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 16 October 2026.
The winner of the South Australian Exporter of the Year Award will be automatically entered as a finalist for the Australian Exporter of the Year Awards to be held in Canberra on 18 November 2026.
In 2025, more than 300 business nominations were received across 28 categories.
South Australian Business Chamber CEO Andrew Kay expects an increase in nominations in 2026, following the successful evolution of the event over the past three years.
“South Australian businesses continue to achieve excellence in incredibly challenging times,” said Mr Kay. “The Premier’s Business and Export Awards 2026 program will honour businesses that have made their mark during an extended period of uncertainty. There are benefits to businesses in undertaking the application process regardless of whether they take out an award and I’m expecting more work for our judges than ever this year.
“The Premier’s Business and Export Awards has quickly built and sustained a reputation as the pinnacle of business awards in our state. We encourage everyone to nominate; it is free of charge and open to all South Australian businesses from every industry and business size that have a story worth celebrating,” he continued.
“The feedback from the finalists has been that the Awards Gala Night was a celebration beyond their expectations and that they have gone on to use this acknowledgement in their marketing and communications.”
Grant Swart, Mayne Pharma VP and General Manager for Australia, said; “Winning the South Australian Business of the Year Award in 2025 was a real honour and something we are all proud of at Mayne Pharma. It recognised the role our company plays in South Australia’s business and export landscape, while also rewarding our staff’s ongoing efforts and hard work, bringing a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
“We are looking forward to participating again this year and can’t wait to see the high calibre of SA businesses who are recognised for all their hard work and achievements.”
Nominations for the 2026 Awards are now open and close Friday 12 June 2026.
