ICN South Australia celebrates 40 years supporting local business

The Industry Capability Network (ICN) South Australia is celebrating 40 years of connecting South Australian businesses with major project opportunities and strengthening local industry.

Part of the Department of State Development, ICN SA has spent four decades helping businesses access supply chain opportunities across defence, resources, renewable energy, water, construction and major infrastructure projects.

Established in 1986, the Industry Capability Network (ICN) SA supports urban and regional communities, driving economic activity, creating jobs for South Australian businesses, and contributing to a stronger and more competitive local industry.

Since its inception, ICN SA has facilitated $3.8 billion in project wins, connecting businesses to projects right across South Australia – from major developments to smaller local initiatives – and linking them with a network of experienced procurement and supply chain specialists who understand opportunities and industry needs.

ICN SA is also active in engaging with industry at major events, like the recent annual Meet the Buyer event, which connects local businesses directly with government and industry buyers, helping them explore new procurement and supply chain opportunities.

Right now, South Australia boasts its largest ever project pipeline, and ICN SA is there to connect local suppliers to these major opportunities.

This significant milestone highlights the ongoing value of connecting local suppliers with major project opportunities, strengthening South Australia's economy, supporting local jobs and business growth.
