The Office for Small and Family Business has today released the full program for Small Business Week 2024, with more than 30 events across South Australia from Monday 29 April to Friday 3 May.
A key initiative of South Australia's Small Business Strategy 2023-2030, the week-long program will be presented in partnership with key government agencies including the SA Small Business Commissioner, Consumer and Business Services and the Office for the Industry Advocate.
With more than 40 delivery partners across government, industry and supporting organisations, the program will stretch across five regional locations including the Adelaide Hills, Port Pirie, Port Lincoln, Berri, and Kangaroo Island, in addition to the city and metropolitan area.
With the theme of 'helping you get on with business' the program has been designed around the six foundational themes of the Strategy:
- lifting your business capability
- supporting the skills needs of your staff
- looking after your mental health
- navigating the digital environment
- boosting business sustainability
The highlight of the week is set to be a Small Business Expo, to be held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday, 2 May.
Free to attend, the Expo will open with a keynote speech from renowned financial journalist Alan Kohler AM followed by a comprehensive full-day program of presentations workshops from some of the state’s best business minds.
Expo attendees can also receive tailored advice and referrals to appropriate supports and services through Gov to You, an initiative of the SA Small Business Commissioner.
Gov to You connects business owners with representatives from across a wide range of government agencies, industry associations and partner organisations – all in the one, convenient location.
