Start-ups and SMEs can now apply for expert advice on getting their ideas to market through the Australian Government’s Industry Growth program.

The program supports innovative small and medium enterprises undertaking commercialisation and/or growth projects within the National Reconstruction Fund priority areas through advisory services and opportunities for matched grant funding.

A national network of Industry Growth Program Advisers is being established to provide tailored advice to eligible businesses, with three advisors covering South Australia and Northern Territory appointed to date.

The advisers will support businesses in the early stages, when they often have difficulty turning ideas into profitable products and services. This may include guidance around seeking investment, market testing, business models and networking.

Following discussions with the advisors a company may be eligible for a grant of up to $5 million.
