The South Australian Government, alongside a senior defence business delegation, will look to strengthen opportunities for industry partnerships, investment attraction and export growth in the European market and United Kingdom.
The first stop will be in Poland, where South Australia’s defence supply chain companies will participate on a Team Defence Australia stand as part of the International Defence Industry Exhibition (commonly referred to as MSPO) – the largest military defence exhibition in central and eastern Europe.

South Australian electronics company, Codan, will also be in attendance at MSPO on their own stand, providing further insights into South Australia’s defence capabilities.
Praetorian Aeronautics has announced its plans to establish its first overseas presence with its European headquarters to be based in Poland. The company has selected Poland for its strong commitment to defence, capable industrial base, technical workforce and strategic position close to ongoing conflicts in the region.
While in Poland, a wine round table with Treasury Estate Wines and Vinarchy will be held to further capitalise on emerging export opportunities through the Australia-European Union Free Trade Agreement, which was finalised earlier this year.
The UK-leg of the visit will focus on defence and the opportunities arising from the AUKUS partnership with visits to Barrow-in-Furness and Derby to meet with BAE Systems and Rolls Royce and to see first-hand, the naval shipbuilding facilities and training precincts, the Submarine Academy for Skills and Knowledge and the Nuclear Skills Academy.
An investment roundtable in London will bring together major corporations and senior leaders from technology, artificial intelligence and investment backgrounds to promote South Australia as a destination for investment.
Meetings to further discuss South Australia’s favourable business and investment ecosystem will be held with key UK Government Ministers to advance collaborative opportunities.
South Australia’s exports achieved a new record for the fourth month in a row, reaching $18.8 billion in the year to July 2026 – over $2 billion more than the previous year.
The UK, a key trading partner for the state, saw exports from South Australia increase by 14 per cent to $431 million.
