Public consultation for Adelaide University draft Bill

On 2 July 2023, the South Australian Government, the University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide signed a Heads of Agreement, recording the intentions of each party to progress with the creation of a new university – Adelaide University.

Adelaide University’s establishment will be underpinned by new legislation, The Adelaide University Act 2023. Modelled after the University of South Australia Act 1990, the Bill will establish Adelaide University and provide for its administration.

This legislation has been prepared, and the public are now invited to provide feedback on the draft Bill via the YourSAy platform. This engagement will run until Friday 18 August.

Please note, the purpose of this engagement is to seek feedback specifically on the draft Bill to establish Adelaide University.

If you wish to provide feedback on other aspects relevant to the establishment of Adelaide University, please consider making a submission to the Joint Committee on the Establishment of Adelaide University, details of which can be found here.
