    A bumper week for South Australia's music industry

    The first week of August promises to be a huge week for Adelaide music professionals, with a program of industry development and live music events happening throughout the week.

    Supported by the Music Development Office, this jam-packed roster of events offers unique opportunities for songwriters, producers, artists, music industry professionals, and those aspiring to be part of the industry to develop their skills, network with their peers and learn from industry experts.

    TikTok SongHubs 2023 – Monday 31 July

    • A three-day song writing camp offering South Australian songwriters, producers and artists the opportunity to collaborate on writing and producing new material for commercial release. Presented by APRA AMCOS in partnership with TikTok and the Music Development Office.

    Sounds Australia Masterclass – Tuesday 1 August

    • Part of the Export Masterclass series, aspiring musicians will learn more about showcasing internationally and the funding opportunities available.

    Indie-Con – 2-4 August

    • Music industry professionals from across the nation will converge on the Mercury Cinema for this annual independent music conference, hosted by the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR).

    AIR Awards – Thursday 3 August

    • These annual awards recognise, promote and celebrate recent successes from Australia’s independent music sector.

    Scouted – Friday 4 August

    • Presented by Music SA, this live music festival gives a dozen local acts the platform to perform in front of national music industry delegates across three iconic Adelaide West End venues.

    And later in the month, senior school students keen to plan a career in the music industry are invited to register for the free Music Careers Expo at The Governor Hindmarsh Hotel on 22 August.
