    Southern Oncology Clinical Research Unit (SOCRU) is a dedicated Phase I private clinical research site in Adelaide, South Australia, committed to advancing cancer research and providing exceptional, evidence-based, patient-centred care.

    Led by a team of five experienced oncologists, SOCRU specialises in conducting clinical trials involving cytotoxic agents, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and genetically modified organism therapies. The Unit is renowned for successfully managing complex studies, particularly those involving high-reaction-risk products and extended pharmacokinetics (PK) collection timepoints.

    With a proven track record in swift startup timelines, SOCRU excels in regulatory submissions and rapid trial initiation. The Unit is also recognised for its strong recruitment rates, consistently enrolling eligible patients efficiently and effectively across a wide range of trials.

    The facilities include:

    • Day infusion suite
    • Overnight beds for prolonged admissions
    • 24-hour patient monitoring
    • Out of hours include late and weekend PK sample collection and processing
    • Access to telemetry and 24-hour cardiac monitoring
    • Private consulting rooms
    • On-site radiology provider
    • Biosafety PC2 level laboratory access
    • Hospital emergency services department on call (MET calls)
    • Access to ICU beds, if required
