Shaping the future of small businesses in South Australia

The 2024 Small Business Survey in South Australia, conducted by the Office for Small and Family Business, aims to understand recent changes, current challenges, and emerging opportunities for small businesses.

In 2022, a comprehensive engagement effort involved over 1,000 small businesses through an online survey, roundtable discussions, and interviews to gather insights on their needs.

These insights helped shape the $14.25 million South Australia’s Small Business Strategy, which includes 20 initiatives to support growth and resilience.

Since the strategy’s launch, more than 6,000 participants have engaged in programs covering various topics, including sustainability, cybersecurity, and mental health. The strategy is designed to be flexible, adapting to new challenges and evolving needs.

Given the changing economic conditions and pressures on small businesses, it's essential to check in with the community. The survey results will be compared to those from 2022 to identify shifts in awareness and capabilities regarding key factors like sustainability and digital technology.

The survey is open until midnight on Friday, November 8.
