This unique experience featured a traditional Japanese tuna cutting ceremony and live cooking demonstration, paired with wine from South Australia’s largest wine company, Vinarchy, who are a sponsor of the Australia Pavilion.
Recently, ASBTIA was named the first Southern Bluefin Tuna fishery in the world to be certified by the Marine Stewardship Council earlier this year. The certification recognises the industry’s world-leading sustainability – adding to its status as a globally renowned and celebrated pristine seafood product.
Japan is the largest market in the world for South Australian Southern Bluefin Tuna, with the state exporting $58.3 million worth to Japan in the year to April 2025.
South Australia’s involvement at World Expo 2025 is made possible through its $1 million Gold Partnership to highlight the state’s offerings to a global audience.
