Industry Capability Network supports businesses in Port Augusta

South Australia’s Industry Capability Network (ICN) hosted a regional workshop in Port Augusta in September to support local businesses in the Upper Spencer Gulf maximise their chances of winning work on major projects.

The workshop focused on helping local businesses maximise their chances of winning work on major projects across a range of sectors, including energy, mining, defence and construction.

Critical to this is having a stand-out ICN company profile, which helps ICN and external buyers find their business and service offering more easily and reach out to them.

Attendees at the ICN Profile Improvement Workshop in Port Augusta gained insights into the benefits of articulating and showcasing their value proposition, their products and services, capabilities and how to connect with opportunities to be involved in major projects – putting their best foot forward.

Through ICN, businesses can submit expressions of interest in current projects listed on ICN Gateway, or be matched with a buyer who is looking for a particular capability.

It was great to see businesses participating in the workshop including Flinders Feral Animal Control, Augusta Quarries, Saltbush Pastoral Services, Stellar Health, Twinview Health and Yuk Services.

The session was held in collaboration with AusIndustry, UniHub and TACTIC (formerly GMUSG).

The first ICN office was established in Victoria in 1984, and ICN SA was established in 1986, to increase economic activity and jobs for the business community of South Australia and, more generally, Australia.

In South Australia, ICN is embedded within the Department for Industry, Innovation and Science to assist metro and regional communities increase economic prosperity.

ICN aims to connect businesses of all sizes to projects large and small across Australia, and to a network of experienced industry procurement and supply chain specialists.

ICN SA helps bring suppliers and project owners, major operations, Original Equipment Manufacturers and other buyers together by giving exclusive access to a powerful online database and its extensive network of industry consultants.
