• Beyond Border Business of the Year – for businesses that sell goods and services interstate
• Emerging Business of the Year – for up-and-coming businesses
• ESG Business of the Year for environmental/social outcomes
• Family Business of the Year – for businesses in family ownership
• Indigenous Business of the Year
• Innovative Business of the Year
• Large Business of the Year – for businesses with over 200 full-time employees
• Medium Business of the Year – for businesses with between 20-200 full-time employees
• Regional Business of the Year – for businesses located outside of the greater Adelaide metropolitan area
• Social Impact Business of the Year – for charities, NFPs, community organisations social enterprises and other 'purpose-driven' organisations (small, medium and large)
• Small Business of the Year – for businesses with < 20 full-time employees
• The Governor’s Award for Business Achievement in Gender Equity
• Workplace Culture and Wellbeing.

Export award categories

Businesses can apply in one sector and up to two business specific categories.

• Digital and smart technologies

• Manufacturing and advanced materials
• Professional services
• Resources and energy
• Sustainability and green economy
• Regional exporter
• Small business
• Emerging exporter
• First Nations exporter.

Application support

Winners will be announced at a Gala Awards Dinner at Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 16 October 2026.

The winners of the South Australian export award categories will automatically be entered as finalists in the Australian Export Awards to be announced at an event in Canberra on Wednesday 18 November 2026.
