New Agent General for South Australia in London

The South Australian Government has appointed a new Agent‑General for a four‑year term, based in London, to represent South Australia across the United Kingdom and Europe.

The Office of the Agent‑General works with business, government, industry, community organisations and other stakeholders to connect opportunities and deliver benefits for South Australia.

This includes supporting priorities across trade and investment, research and development, skills, education and migration, strengthening international connections and promoting South Australia as a destination for investment, study and tourism, and as a producer of premium food and wine.

The appointment comes as Australia and the European Union deepen economic engagement following the conclusion of negotiations on an Australia–EU Free Trade Agreement on 24 March 2026. Once in force and fully implemented, the agreement will see 98 per cent of the current value of Australia’s goods exports enter the EU duty‑free.

Alongside the Agent‑General, Rosanne Brand has been appointed as Regional Director for the United Kingdom and Europe, based in London, to lead work connecting South Australian businesses with trade, export and investment opportunities across the region.

Her appointment will support South Australian companies to position for opportunities arising from the Australia–EU Free Trade Agreement as it progresses toward implementation.
