The State Government has established the Future Jobs Fund, with more than $200 million to drive employment growth and confront challenges to our modernising economy.
As part of the fund, businesses and non-government organisations are invited to apply for $50 million in grants and $70 million in low-interest loans to develop innovative, globally-competitive industries and industrial capabilities in five key sectors in our State:
- Shipbuilding and defence
- Renewable energy and mining
- Tourism, food and wine
- Health and biomedical research, including businesses expanding to provide National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services
- IT and advanced manufacturing
Funding applications are already open and the Department of State Development is conducting a series of information sessions to help businesses learn more about the fund.
